HOLI FESTIVAL 2023

Picture
Date: Saturday 3.4.23 (Rainout date 3.11.23)
Time: 12:00pm-4:00pm
Location: Stacy Park, 9750 Old Bonhomme Rd
What is Holi: Holi is a vibrant free celebration and features party dance music from DJ Anna, food for sale from local Indian and Nepalese restaurants; and the all-important colors on sale to join the celebration!
More about Holi Festival: The spring event traditionally provides an opportunity to bring unity and eternal love, commemorate the triumph of good over evil, to forgive and forget resentments, and invoke a good spring harvest. It’s often called the Festival of Love, the Festival of Spring, and the Festival of Color, with color holding a special symbolism.

Very basic color meanings: Red = Love; passion, fertility; Yellow = Happiness; meditation, peace; Blue = Calm, otherworldliness (Krisha’s color); Green = Nature, Spring new beginnings; Pink = Youth, good health, playfulness; Orange = Courage, sacrifice; Purple = Supreme peace, wisdom.
