Star Gazing at Stacy Park

Hours:      Dusk to Dawn
Dates        Year-Round
Location:  Multi-use grass/open field area only
Activity:    Stargazing of the night sky using an astronomical tool: binoculars, scope, telescope, camera, star chart, star app and/or other astronomical equipment
Specifics:
  • No light painting photography is allowed in any City park. Light painting is a photography technique that uses a moving light source (e.g., a flashlight) to add light to a subject while taking a long-exposure photograph
  • Car headlights are to be turned off when not actively driving.
  • After hours stargazing (Dusk to Dawn) is permitted on the field area only
  • Only Red lights or flashlights with red covers to be used, no white flashlights/headlamps allowed
  • Stargazers must have binoculars, telescope, star chart, star app, and/or other astronomical viewing equipment.
  • Quiet time from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. No loud voices, music, or any noisy activities.
  • Sleeping is not permitted in the park
